Jonas Polson served with 75th Ranger Regiment and 10th Special Forces Group with fourteen years of combat-proven service, and multiple high-risk missions and combat deployments. He helped develop advanced tactics, breaching programs, and contingency operations that are still used by elite units today. After leaving the military, he founded Tactical Options LLC and has since trained thousands of law-enforcement officers across the country. He now leads the company with a mission-focused approach, preparing officers for real-world threats through modern, efficient, and battle-tested training.

Working semi-automatic carbine 5.56 / .223, .300 BLK, 7.62 with sling
Sight system: Iron sights, RDS, Holographic, Reflex, etc.
3 – 5 full size carbine magazines - Minimal two carbine magazine carrier on belt, gun belt, or chest carrier system
Ear and eye protection (recommend noise cancelling headsets. Bring clear lenses for cloudy / weather days)
Range training clothing. Check weather and bring proper gear

Officers will be become proficient and execute fundamental applications their carbine system, execute a variety of performance weapon manipulation and stress drills, and basic tactics, techniques, and procedures for urban close quarters and street maneuvers. Officers will develop critical and crucial skillsets necessary when faced with a deadly threat / crisis situation. Officers will understand accountability while executing principles of various contingent scenarios, communications, the ability to call and apply their precision shot, and gain a high level of confidence in their weapon system comprehensive building blocks.
Program objectives include:
Expeditionary mindset: every day readiness, weapon and shooters kit set up, SOP development
Officer will understand bullet trajectory, POA/ POI, gravity and environmental effects of round trajectory
Carbine precision fundamental application and marksmanship: Body position, sight alignment, breathing, controlled trigger press
Precision target assessment, hold-offs, shot application while understanding principle threat variables and required shot application needed with assigned carbine system
Individual data collection of their assigned carbine: POA / POI at various known distances and sight system hold-offs.
Fundamental marksmanship assessment, identification of fundamental errors, and how to fix / mitigate against incorrect fundamental application based on target assessment and analysis
Carbine precision enhanced fundamental applications, cadence engagement techniques, pistol manipulation skills
Ambidextrous shooting skills development
Carbine malfunction clearance procedures, threat follow through - Safe weapon handling techniques under stress
Carbine clearance procedures, and threat follow through misfires and weapon malfunctions
Multi-target / multi-threat engagement criteria, problem solving, situational analysis and execution methods
High percentage vs low percentage shot requirements
Moving and shooting fundamental applications: forward, lateral, oblique angles
Shoot vs no-shoot target stress drills
