GTOA Partners with ATOA for 2021 Conference

Georgia Tactical Officers Association (GTOA) has joined forces with Alabama Tactical Officers Association (ATOA) for the 2021 GTOA Annual Training Conference.  This multi-state partnership will continue to serve officers in the State of Georgia, and will expand to offer additional regional training in Alabama.

The partnership with ATOA has provided new locations for training in addition to the venues previously used in the City of Columbus.  Training classes will continue to be scheduled at local ranges and classrooms provided by the Columbus Police Department and Columbus State University.  In addition, Muscogee County (GA) and Russell County and Lee County (AL) have allowed access to facilities to support our growing training offering.  This collaboration will also increase our scope of classes and network of instructors, allowing experts nationwide to bring educational instruction to our attendees.

“The partnership with ATOA allows us to reach more officers and public safety personnel with opportunities of top-level training and support,” stated GTOA President Arick Furr.  “We look forward to the collaboration and relationship with ATOA for 2021 and into the future.”

Despite the challenges of 2020, GTOA and ATOA have continued to provide free training opportunities for our officers. With 2021 around the corner we, look forward to our 17th Annual conference and a combined membership base of 400+, with continued growth for years to come.

The 2021 GTOA Annual Training Conference is slated for March 14 – 18 in Columbus, Georgia.  The Columbus Trade and Convention Center is host to the conference week, with the Vendor Expo and Banquet night.  The GTOA board has worked closely with the trade center to add some additional hospitality events on the property as well.
