Description:
TThis 3-day NVG course accelerates students through a brief class covering topics on theory, principles, light, inner workings of night vision and NVG case law followed by a hands-on exploration of topics covered in class including NLTA application. On days two and three students employ firearms in a reduced visibility (live) range environment.
Tuesday May 5: 4pm – 12am; Wednesday and Thursday: 6pm – 2am

Equipment Needed:
Your duty / call-out gear
Body armor
Helmet (with shroud / mounting plate)
NVG mount
NVGs (that are helmet mountable)
Pistol and rifle mounted optics that are zeroed
Infrared rifle-mounted and zeroed LASER
NLTA: 200 pistol, 400 rifle (UTM, Simunition with appropriate pistol and bolt carrier group or Airsoft)
Handheld flashlight
Weapon mounted flashlight for both pistol and rifle
Batteries and back-up batteries for everything that takes batteries
Water, snacks, appropriate clothing, headlamp
3 mags for each weapon that can be secured
Live ammo: 400 pistol, 1000 rifle
Clear eye protection
Electronic hearing protection
Willingness to learn
Open to: Full time sworn Law Enforcement officer- Patrol – SWAT – Jail – Courts – Admin
