Basic SWAT School (40 hours POST Credit)

This course offers training to both new and veteran SWAT team members and will introduce/address mission based tactics derived from NTOA philosophies and standards. Students will be introduced to resolution of barricaded suspect situation tactics, individual and team covert movement and chemical agent, less-lethal and diversionary device overviews. High-risk warrant service and hostage rescue techniques will also be covered in-depth. The students will complete multiple fast-paced field training exercises that will improve and enhance tactical skills. 

Students will need their duty handgun and rifle/carbine (if issued), including 300 rounds for each platform. All assigned SWAT gear (raid vest, gas mask, BDU or range clothing, boots, illumination (weapon mounted preferable), eye/ear protection, ball cap, hydration, etc.)
