The use of optics for the patrol / SWAT officer using a semi auto long gun.

Prerequisites to attend:

Full time sworn Law Enforcement officer

Patrol – SWAT – Jail – Courts – Admin

Any peace officer looking to increase their skill set is welcome.

This is a physical class, please come prepared to sweat & work.

500 rounds of rifle ammo & 250 rounds of pistol ammo eye protection, ear protection, hat, duty belt and any other tactical clothing and or equipment that you would normally use.

In Arlington Heights, Illinois, a man had been stalking his ex-girlfriend and took her hostage.. The first responding police officer was shot in the neck by the hostage taker and went down inside the home. As the gunman barricaded himself in the basement with the hostage, police began negotiations.

This incident debrief brings in first hand perspectives, while offering insight and training tips for officers who may find themselves negotiating a similar situation.

This interactive seminar provides police officers with exposure to a variety of negotiation resources from both the police and business negotiations fields. Teams will be challenged to consider their preparation for the future of police negotiations.

Speaker: Lieutenant Scott Tillema, Schaumburg (IL) Police Department. Scott is an experienced hostage negotiator, and a nationally recognized trainer in hostage and crisis negotiation.
