Class Description

Training to only retreat from a threat to grab a tool off your duty belt has had fatal outcomes for many police officers. Thru hands-on, scenario-based training, officers will experience first-hand the various distances, reaction times, assault times, and human performance factors that impact how edged weapon assaults unfold. As a result, participants will gain enhanced assessment and decision-making models, along with force options to improve their survivability of an edged weapon attack or other violent encounter.
